I am a storyteller using lines, colors, and shapes to express aspects of the human condition. Throughout my studio career I have worked in a series format because I believe that all work done in a series is connected and related in concept and spirit.
In the painting series Voices from Far Lands, the goats represent sensuality, determination and vitality and the red-winged blackbirds describe freedom and playfulness. The humans evoke vulnerability, strength and endurance. The collage elements can perhaps be seen as thoughts that come unexpectedly into one’s mind.

In the series Behind the Dreams the wolf represents power and loyalty as well as vulnerability and fragility as shown by adding butterfly wings. When figures are held by the wolf, they express a protective close relationship.
The landscape elements show a consistency and timelessness in nature.
