Mixed media work by Keith Hollingworth brings images of birds together with found objects. While the artist has for many years used varied found objects to produce his pieces, in this body of work he introduces birds in a fresh context. “The birds can be read as symbols, metaphors, objects, talismans, etc. The juxtaposition to other objects in pieces gives the viewer a sense of expression, meaning, concepts, and the inference to the natural world,” says Hollingworth.
