KAREN IGLEHART
Iglehart’s abstract paintings represent her recent explorations about space and form. She relies primarily on color, not perspective, to create a visual sense of space within the picture plane. With these works, she moves from an emphasis on horizontal to vertical form. She also seeks to define relationships among different forms in space through color or placement on the canvas. All the paintings are oil on canvas, and some also include graphite markings.

JANET W. WINSTON
Winston’s new series interprets local landscapes in a painterly manner using oil and watercolor. She often depicts distance receding into the background, and brings the viewer into the foreground with a deftly employed detail or a dab of bright hue. An overall atmosphere encircles the whole composition, with the blending and choice of colors. The artist’s love of nature often inspires her work, to include birds, flowers, and butterflies.
